Simon (He/Him) is an independent visual artist/designer based in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia), living and working on the land of the Wurundjeri Woi Worrung people in Melbourne’s inner north.

Simon has exceptional communication skills and a strong eye for detail for all types of sculpture, design and illustration. This includes mediums such as clay sculpting, resin and metal casting, paper sculpture, timber concept furniture, illustration, digital projection and 3D digital modelling.

He also has solid academic credentials; having completed a Bachelor of Arts (Industrial Design), Master of Fine Arts (Live Production) as well as an online Masterclass in Graphic Design coupled with extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite.

Simon’s artistic practice occupies the intersection of sculpture, illustration and digital technology. As a visual artist, he has exhibited works in a range of independently run group shows across Melbourne since 2005.

Simon’s freelance work has spanned a variety of professional roles, from design assistant in the ceremonies department for the 2006 Commonwealth Games (where his articulated scale model of Dan Potra’s ‘Flying Tram’ for the 2006 Commonwealth games is held in the Museums Victoria collection) to development, construction and installation of projects for theatre, TV, film and exhibitions.

Throughout a 20+ year career, he has gained extensive professional experience across the creative arts sector, developing strong communication skills. These skills enable Simon to share ideas that encourage and nurture the best possible outcomes for all projects.
